Private Lessons

Scofield Christian School offers a variety of private music lessons in addition to once per week classroom music instruction.

These private lessons include choir, voice and piano.

Cornerstone Chorale:

Choir Director is Nancy Burroughs.

Open to:        all students in 3rd grade through 6th grade.

Rehearsals:    Tuesday and Thursday, 7:40am - 8:10am

Performances: This choir participates in the ACSI Choral Festival   

                    and has performances in chapel, the Christmas 

                    program and in the community.

Cost:             Free to SCS students in grades 3-6.

Voice Lessons: 

Private lessons are available with Monte Howard. 

Open to:         students in 4th grade through 6th grade.

Lesson times:  to be arranged during and after school

Cost:              $90.00 per month (music is provided)

Piano:

Keyboard Lab

Keyboard Lab lessons are available with Karen Gustafson.

Open to:          students in 5K through 3rd grade. 

Lesson times: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday,

                     7:30am-8:00am

Performances:  Piano recital with all students in May

Cost:              $55.00 per month. 

                     The lab requires a $60.00 book fee/deposit, with  

                     unused funds credited toward May's tuition.

Private Piano Lessons

Private Piano Lessons are available with Karen Gustafson.

Open to:         students in 5K and older. 

Lesson times:  to be arranged during lunch, recess or P.E.

Performances:  based on individual interest and skill level, may

                    include chapel, Christmas at the Mall and various 

                    festivals hosted by the Richardson Music Teachers

                    Association with a recital in May.

Cost:             $95.00 per month. 

                    This class has a $60.00 book fee/deposit, with

                    unused funds credited towards May's tuition.
