Athletics
Scofield Christian School student athletics shall be conducted
in congruency with the philosophy and objectives of Scofield Christian
School. The major philosophy behind the athletics program is that
it is to be an extension of the school’s Christian instructional
ministries. Students should derive a sense of satisfaction and
achievement. Emphasis should be placed on the joy of participation
and accomplishment for the student and the team. Participation
in student athletics should develop and strengthen Christian character.
ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY
No student may participate in a game or practice unless he/she
has submitted signed Emergency Medical Release, Release of Liability,
and Permission to Travel Forms. Parents and students are also required
to read, agree, and sign the Scofield Christian School Athletic
Handbook demonstrating support of the school’s athletic
requirements and philosophy.

further criteria. A copy may be obtained in the school office.
ATHLETIC OBJECTIVES
All student athletes are encouraged to:
1. Learn the skills and rules of the sport.
2. Perform at the best of his/her ability.
3. Strive for physical fitness.
4. Honor God on and off the court or field with good sportsmanship
and self-control.
Continuously demonstrate a cooperative, encouraging spirit at all times.
ATHLETIC OPPORTUNITIES
Students are given opportunities to participate in volleyball,
basketball, baseball, softball, soccer and cheerleading.
